I'm Samhitha M D, a dedicated textile designer hailing from Kerala. I completed my Master of Design in Textile Design from NID Ahmedabad and prior to that, pursued my Bachelor of Design in Textile Design from NIFT Kannur. Textiles have always held a special fascination for me, igniting my curiosity about the historical and cultural significance of various fabric traditions around the world.

My experience encompasses conceptualizing, ideating, and executing designs, including trend research, creation of theme boards, mood boards, and color palettes, as well as developing artworks, prints, and graphic explorations. I excel in bringing designs to life through digital renderings and have a knack for creating original artworks and print designs using both digital techniques and hand painting.

Additionally, I possess a solid understanding of weaving techniques and texture creation, ranging from basic to advanced levels, both in theory and practice. My passion for conscious fashion is evident in my work, where meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship shines through.

With experience spanning across home furnishings, apparel industries, and collaborations with export houses, design studios, and NGOs, I have honed my skills in various aspects of textile design.
